Famine is not just scarcity….
It doesn’t only talk about crop failure:
But juxtapose something else—
This is not material, but a different famine;
Prophet Amos spoke of it long ago,
Which is a famine foretold in Bible.
It is neither a famine of bread;
Nor of thirst for water;
But of hearing the words of the Lord.
So to access God’s Word,
Give us, Father, a strong desire,
To look into your word each day,
And have pure milk and solid food,
That we may grow in every way!
