My father had spent over ten years in Oman working for a friend’s company. They were like best friends. My father recognized his friend’s changing attitude. As a result he decided to resign and start his own business with the sponsorship of an Omani Arab, as is required in Oman.
My father had a terrible habit of blindly trusting everyone. Prior to resigning from the company and also in a hurry to close all accounts, he had completed all transactions owed by his clients without proper receipts. On the day of his resignation, his friend informed him that he would raise legal action against him. My father took it on a lighter note and moved on. But in the second month of founding the company, his friend filed a false case against him and things began to change miserably.
We lost the case in all three levels of Oman’s courts: lower, higher, and supreme. In the lower court, the punishment was two years in prison and a fine of 10,000 OMR, followed by deportation. In the high court, it was 6 months in prison and a 5000 OMR fine, followed by deportation. It was only 5000 OMR, followed by deportation, according to the Supreme Court. The fine was paid by my father. He returned to India via normal airport cancellation procedures.
According to the law, my father’s passport should have said “deported,” which means he will not be allowed to enter that country again. The miracle is that he can now return whenever he wants if he obtains another work visa. I should clarify that my father was not imprisoned for even a single day. With our own eyes, the Lord demonstrated how the wicked were punished. His former boss was arrested by cops on assault and land mafia charges and was detained for a long time.
The Lord says I will show you how the wicked are punished with your own eyes. In the book of Romans 12:19 it says “Never take revenge, my friends, but instead let God’s anger do it. The news was covered by all of Kerala’s leading newspapers and television channels. My father’s final words before leaving Oman were, “As long as I have my Bible in my hand, the Lord will honor me wherever I go.”
As previously stated, the Lord honored my father. He established a successful homestay business in India. In 1Corinthians 2:9 its says “However, as it is written: What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived the things God has prepared for those who love him.”
It should be noted that there were two false witnesses who caused misery to my father, both were Indians, one was a believer and the other a cousin of his old boss.
In court, the Omani witnesses came and revealed all the truth.
Friends, I hope the testimony has encouraged you and given you hope. My Lord clearly states that the vengeance is His. Although this may sound like a fable but it’s a true event which happened during the years 2010 – 2016, and it changed all our lives.
Despite the fact that my younger brother’s education suffered as a result of our departure from Oman, the Lord helped us gain entry to the school where I completed my 12th grade. He graduated with honors.
He has now completed his undergraduate degree at Karunya University with a second-rank. Currently he is pursuing an MBA at Amity Kochi.
