Resilience

This picture of the World Trade Centre in New York was taken by Rajiv R G, (1988-92 Mech) during his 2014 trip to New York City with his friend and batchmate Eugene, who lives in Pennsylvania. Rajiv visited the 9/11 Memorial, a grim reminder of those who lost their lives in the 9/11 attack. The names of the victims are engraved in stone for posterity. In sharp contrast, the new WTC tower is a testament to human resilience and the will to rise again from the ashes. The clouds of darkness have been dispersed by the ray of hope, so brilliantly reflected in the glass facade.
